June is here and we have an action-packed month of entertainment just for you! Nestled in the heart of Trowbridge, there’s something for everyone at the Civic this month.
We’re kicking the month off with a visit from The Stones, the UK’s no.1 and most authentic tribute to The Rolling Stones, bringing all the hits and timeless classics to the Civic stage. Mid-June see’s the return of our monthly comedy night, this time headlined by the hilarious Alfie Brown plus Pete Selwood and Danny Deegan. Then, we’re treating you to not one but two instalments of our monthly jazz night @ the Café featuring Park Lane Big Band and the first X-Factor winner, Steve Brookstein. Finally, we’re tying the month off with our second Cheesy Bingo Party of the year with a jam-packed night of bingo, cheesy music, singalongs, and prizes!
The Stones

From ‘Satisfaction’ to ‘Start Me Up’, get ready to sing along to all your favourite Rolling Stones hits, played with all the energy and charisma of The Rolling Stones themselves. ‘The Stones’ pay an accurate and faithful tribute to the sound and look of an authentic Rolling Stones show. Complete with authentic vintage instruments, costume, mannerisms and the ‘look-alikes’, the group perform each single song with the same accuracy, passion, energy and verve of the originals.
The Comedy Network

Comedy Network shows take place every third Thursday of the month and feature some of the most exciting names in British comedy. Come and unwind after a stressful week and discover your new favourite comedian. Gather your friends, grab a drink from the bar and enjoy laugh out loud comedy from some of the hottest comedians on the circuit.
Alfie Brown – Alfie’s latest show Sensitive Man was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe, won Chortle’s Best Show 2022, as well as being filmed as a special for Amazon Prime.
Pete Selwood – A hotly tipped up and coming comedian on the circuit, Yorkshire born-and-bred comedian Pete Selwood has quickly risen through the comedy ranks with his excellent storytelling style, that mixes hilarious observational material with killer punchlines.
Danny Deegan – With the confidence and swagger that you might expect of a North-West comedian at the very top of his game, Danny Deegan is a comedian, writer and actor who has become a regular at most of the major comedy clubs in the UK since he began performing in 2003.
Jazz, Funk & Soul @ the Café: Park Lane Big Band

First up @ the Café this June is the fantastic Park Lane Big Band, treating us to an evening of classic and contemporary jazz. Hailing from Bath, Park Lane Big Band are one of the South West’s premier full-strength big bands and were formed in 2000. Their repertoire covers a wide range of music, from big band classics like Duke Ellington and Glenn Miller to the contemporary work of Gordon Goodwin and Tom Kubis amongst others.

The following night, join us @ the Café with one of the finest soul singers, Steve Brookstein. Steve won the very first series of The X Factor back in 2004 with his hit single ‘Against All Odds’ and went on to have a number 1 album ‘Heart and Soul’. Now in 2023, Steve is bringing his ‘Soul Journey’ show – Remembering the Legends to venues across the UK. Performing the songs of the soul greats, including Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Luther Vandross, Sam Cooke, Smokey Robinson, Lionel Ritchie & Donny Hathaway to name just a few. Expect a night of nostalgic soul music to help you unwind.
Cheesy Bingo

Cheesy Bingo is back this June! It’s like no game of bingo you’ve ever played before… there’s music, madness, singalongs, ridiculous prizes, and a few surprises! A mix of bingo and a whole load of the cheesiest party music you ever heard!
