On Tuesday 4th July, Tom Grennan hit the stage for two back-to-back shows at The Civic Trowbridge. Promoting his third album ‘What Ifs & Maybes’, these promotional out-store shows were brought to you by Sound Knowledge and Sony Music.
With high demand from eager fans, a second show was added shortly after the original sold out, giving more the opportunity to see Grennan in the flesh.
A big night for Trowbridge
Tom delighted close to 2000 fans across two sell-out shows with chart-topping hits including ‘Little Bit of Love’, ‘By Your Side’, and ‘Lionheart’ along with tracks from his new album including, ‘Here’, ‘Remind Me’ and ‘All These Nights’. Tom and his band blew the crowd away with their incredible performances and even performed an acoustic set of ‘Crown Your Love’ in the middle of the audience!
With a handful of intimate shows up and down the country, Trowbridge was the third stop on the ‘What Ifs & Maybes’ out-store tour. Other locations included Leeds, Manchester, Norwich, Coventry, Newcastle, and Kingston.
The singer-songwriter (and occasional Soccer Air star) was fresh from performing a powerhouse set at Glastonbury just weeks before his performance in Trowbridge, following the exciting news that Grennan had secured his second Number 1 Album in the Official Charts with ‘What Ifs & Maybes’.
These intimate hour-long shows gave fans a taste of Grennan’s energetic and infectious stage presence, immaculate vocals, and top musicianship, plus Grennan’s down-to-earth chat and anecdotes in between tracks.
Grennan’s perfectly executed performance made up for the dreary Tuesday evening downpour that fans endured whilst queueing to see the star. Leaving fans (and Civic staff alike) on a high, it was the midweek pick-me-up that everyone needed.
Looking to the future
Grennan’s show was a standout moment for our 2023 programme, where fans from Wiltshire and beyond flocked to Trowbridge to celebrate his music and sing along to their favourite tracks. Here at the Civic, we believe that Trowbridge is an exciting, progressive town with a vibrant live music scene that we are passionate about championing and supporting.
